Pillar Community

Pillar CommunityStudents at Pillar College develop incredibly close friendships with one another.  Interactive classes and student led events along with dynamic and interactive classroom settings enhance these relationships.

Pillar Classes

Each instructor has his or her own approach to facilitating classes.  Most classes at Pillar involve a great deal of discussion and interaction.  Group and individual projects give students hands-on experience with the subject matter in addition to a more traditional academic environment.  Relationships among students are enhanced by classroom activities.

Student Chapel

Student Chapel is planned and conducted by the Pillar Student Government in cooperation with the Director of Student Life. Chapels frequently include guests who share about ministries that are significantly relevant to Pillar students. Student Chapel at Pillar is a part of academic life and counts toward class time.

Cafe at Somerset

The Pillar Cafe is open while classes are in session.  The cafe offers meals, snack, drinks, and other items in a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere.  Students, staff and faculty all gather in the cafe to eat, hang out and relax.

Complaints and Concerns

In the event that students discover problems with campus facilities, such as dead lightbulbs, leaking faucets, or other problems, students should contact Linda Schmitt at Somerset and Dr. Ralph Grant in Newark.

Student Government

The Student Government at Pillar is very involved in the life of the college.  For information, please visit the Student Government page.
