Student Government
The Student Government seeks to fairly represent the interests and concerns of each member of the student body. Its purpose is to provide efficient and effective addressing of needs within the student body of the College, to uphold the code of conduct of the community, and to initiate positive activities and programs for the benefit of Pillar students. The Student Government, working in close cooperation with the College's Coordinator of Student Life, brings the students as a community into a closer and more vital relationship with the rest of the College community.

Spiritual Formation
Spiritual formation is a fundamental part of academic life at Pillar College; it is one of the vehicles through which we prepare students for scholarship, service, and leadership. As a College, rooted in Christian faith and love, we believe that spirituality is not peripheral to intellectual growth, but is a foundational aspect of our curricula and essentially contributes to the holistic development of our students. Thus, creating an environment that encourages and enhances spiritual formation is integral to the mission of Pillar College.
Student Chapel Services
Our commitment to an educational philosophy, which emphasizes integration of learning with a Christian worldview, is reflected in Student Chapel that incorporates a teaching component into one and one-quarter hours of student-led worship which substitutes for that segment of class time. Chapels are planned and conducted by the Pillar Student Government Association in conjunction with the Director of Student Life.
As a worshipping community, we cherish the opportunity to bask in the presence of God. Thus, Student Chapel Services are designed to give students the opportunity to fellowship with other students, staff, and faculty.
At Chapel, students receive strength, inspiration, encouragement, and insight from the message of community leaders and faculty who empower students to be positive change agents, challenge them to think critically, and inspire them to intellectual and spiritual growth.
Prayer In The Classroom
In the book, With Open Hands, Henri Nouwen states, “Those who live prayerfully are constantly ready to receive the breath of God, and to let their lives be renewed and expanded." Pillar College believes that a good prayer life serves to strengthen our students’ relationship with Christ, build healthy relationship with others, and helps to prepare the student for academic challenges. In recognition of this fact, Pillar’s faculty begins each class with prayer, so as to encourage the spiritual development, renewal, and expansion of the life of our students.
Student Activities
Every semester, the Student Government Association (SGA), along with the Director of Student Life, plans, organizes, and implements several events and activities that cultivate fellowship, strengthen community, and boost student morale. Activities may include: retreats, sports, corporate worship, devotionals, talent shows, or workshops.
