- TH-101-2 Intro. to Narrative Biblical Theology (3 credits) Course Description: Narrative Biblical Theology will explore ways of unlocking the imaginative potential in
both Bible study and evangelism. Narrative refers to the way in which stories are told
through the use of plot sequence, characters, conflicts and resolutions. Narrative
Biblical Theology represents a careful reflection on the way the Bible is written as a
narrative and what this means for Bible interpretation, understanding the Gospel, and
living in relationship with God in the world.
- BI-101-2 Old Testament Survey (3 credits) Course Description: The Larger Story of God 1
Examination of the theological message and major themes of each of the individual
books of the Old Testament and of the Old Testament as a whole.
Focus will be content-oriented
with readings in the Old Testament as well as the
assigned textbook(s). Emphasis upon a literary approach to the Hebrew Bible with brief
consideration of historicalcritical
issues.
- PM-105-2 CAPstone I (3 credits)
Course Description: Come Alive to God’s Voice, Calling and Dream
The student will be introduced to the dynamics of the spiritual journey as he/she
prepares to walk along the CAPstone path with a series of faculty mentors and
presenters. Fundamental to the idea of building a CAPstone project is developing the
ability to “hear” and know the heart of God. This course will assist students in
developing a “conversational relationship with God.”
