Introduction

Our hearts as human beings long to be invited into something larger than the day-to-day details of life. We were made for more than this world offers. We want adventure, romance and freedom.

Welcome to Somerset Christian College where we are dedicated to helping you enter into this Larger Story of God and the depths of mystery, beauty, intimacy and yes, even danger His divine reality holds. Our hope is that as you discover SCC and the programs we offer, your heart’s desires will come more fully alive to the heart of God, and He will give you deeper understanding into your life’s true calling.

SCC is an undergraduate school of higher learning that is faithful to classical Christianity, grounded on the authority of God's Word, and committed to challenging Christians to serve Christ with passion and purpose. Our Wesleyan perspective provides a positive affirmation of God's grace and hope to all.

Bachelor of Arts

The Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies degree (BA) is a four-year, 120 credit-hour course of study. The BA is awarded upon successful completion of the requirements. The BA is a foundational program providing an introduction to the Bible, Christian doctrine, church history, and practical Christian ministry at the undergraduate level.  This program also includes a strong general education component with particular attention to the history of ideas, worldviews, and communication. The BA is appropriate for high school graduates and for those who have already accumulated college credits, and want to receive a degree at the baccalaureate level.

Associate in Biblical Studies Program

Somerset Christian College offers an Associate in Biblical Studies Degree.

The Associate in Biblical Studies is a two-year, 60 credit-hour degree which helps prepare students entering vocational Christian ministries that requires only a foundation in Biblical Studies, to equip students for greater lay ministry effectiveness, and to assist students who desire to transfer credits into appropriate 4-year programs.

The Associate in Biblical Studies degree is designed for lay persons as well as staff persons in a parish setting who require a certain amount of biblical and theological training for ordination credentials. The Associate in Biblical Studies is also appropriate for individuals who already hold an undergraduate degree, but wish to enhance their Christian witness in their present vocations as well as enrich their spiritual lives.
